Hi, I’m Kirsty Powell, and I’m passionate about helping women, especially those going through pre- and menopause, experience the incredible benefits of strength training, yoga and mobility work. With over 10 years of experience as a personal trainer and a background as an elite athlete in Judo, I’ve spent my life immersed in health, fitness, and nutrition to ensure I could compete at the highest levels. Now, my mission is to empower women, especially those in midlife, to take control of their health and feel strong, confident, and resilient. I was inspired to focus on women in pre- and menopause after witnessing my own mother struggle through this stage of life without the support she needed. I understand how difficult this transition can be — from fluctuating hormones to mood changes, fatigue, and physical discomfort. But through my own research and experience, I discovered that strength training can be a game-changer for women at this stage. It’s not just about building muscle; it’s about building confidence, enhancing quality of life, and taking control of our well-being.

  • Just bid an emotional and reluctant farewell to Kirsty after 4 months training with her twice a week in the run up to my wedding. Relocation and time constraints meant I had to leave but I wish I could take her with me! Great weight focussed varied training programmes targeting my problem areas. I have lost nearly a stone in weight (and 14 inches) since I began training again and am I in the best shape of my life (at 34 years old)! I never thought I would want to be a 'girl who lifts' but needed something to kick start my workouts. Kirsty and weightlifting were the answer. 

  • I'd been going to the gym for over 18 months and had decided to step it up a notch, so I did a 12 week weightlifting course with Kirsty last year. She made it so enjoyable and I saw my body shape change very quickly. I gained muscle and dropped fat, my usually thick legs have leaned out too. Kirsty pushes me when I think I can't do any more and proves I can. I'm such a glutton for punishment that I'm back with Kirsty for more weight training now and I love it! BOOM!

  • Can't Recommend highly enough! Brilliant professional and friendly service. Be under no misconception that a female PT will go easy on you and Kirsty is no exception, always pushing you to your limits. Have had excellent results! Try and you will not be disappointed.

  • Kirsty is absolutely a dream to work with. I've worked with other PTs who are a bit *ahem* impersonal but she is there for you the whole way. She is supportive in and out of the gym and can be reached at any time. When I'm working with her, the hour passes by before we realise it! I've seen changes in my body and in my strength and motion that I didn't think I would see in a month. I will definitely keep working with her, you should too! 🙂

  • Kirsty is an amazing personal trainer, before working with her I dreaded going to the gym, but through her positivity and encouragement I found it a genuinely enjoyable experience! She is approachable and friendly, yet also incredibly professional with an impressive awareness of, in my case, joint issues that I needed to be careful of.
    The best thing I can say about Kirsty, other than I miss working with her, is that she not only motivates you to achieve your goals, whatever they may be, but also shares in celebrating them with you once you have.
    She is well worth training with and as an added bonus her happy dance is amazing.

    First 6 week stint over the summer ended up getting much fitter, smashing some targets and shifting 12kgs of bad weight...
